The Illinois Quarter Horse Association is proud to announce Jennifer Drinkall as the 2026 ILQHA President.
The selection for this leadership position was based on Jennifer’s strong record of involvement and support of the state affiliate, peer recognition for fairness and integrity and commitment to upholding the ethical standards as an AQHA Professional Horsemen.
Jennifer has been a dedicated ILQHA member since 1990. Her longstanding service includes time as Assistant Youth Advisor, later as Youth Advisor from 2010–2014, and again as Youth Advisor from 2019–2022. Throughout her tenure, Jennifer has been instrumental in creating structure and engagement for ILQHA youth members, leading Youth to compete at top national competitions via YEDA, organizing fundraising youth events, supporting veteran tributes, and fostering team leadership and active participation in the AQHA Youth Excellence Seminar (YES).
The Drinkall family has a long history of volunteerism and leadership within both ILQHA and NSBA. Jennifer’s daughter Lili Drinkall served as NSBA Youth President, and her daughter June Drinkall will proudly serve as the 2026 NSBAYA President, continuing the family tradition of dedication and service to the Quarter Horse community.
Jennifer also operates her professional training business, Drinkall Performance Horses, where she provides countless opportunities for youth and amateur riders to develop their skills and confidence in the show arena on national competition platform. Through her lesson program, she has helped open the doors of the industry to many new faces.
Jennifer truly embodies the spirit of inclusion and mentorship, fostering welcomeness in every sense of the word. Known for her steady leadership, approachable demeanor, and genuine care for others, she inspires those around her to reach higher, whether in the show pen or in personal growth and leadership. Her vision for ILQHA is one of collaboration, professionalism, and enthusiasm, ensuring that every exhibitor and member feels valued and supported.
Her follow-through, positivity, and can-do attitude exemplify the leadership that continues to move our association forward. We are excited for the year ahead under her guidance and can’t wait to see all that 2026 brings for ILQHA!
