Macie Kutzler joins the Illinois Quarter Horse Youth Association from Burlington, WI.  Macie has been riding horses for six years, starting at the early age of 5.  She first got into riding when her mom rode and she fell in love with horses and started taking lessons.

Her show horse is KM Genuine Best, fondly known as Gigi.  Macie rides under the guidance of Valerie Kearns on Richmond, IL.

We asked Macie some questions about her goals and other fun topics, here’s what she had to say:

What is your favorite event:  I love the western pleasure and it is their best event!

What is your favorite show:  I loved the shows in St. Louis

Best horse show memory/biggest accomplishment:  My biggest accomplishment was showing at the NSBA World Championship and I placed in the top ten in two events!

What do you like to do outside of horse riding?  When I’m not riding, I love to dance with my dance team.   I do lyrical, jazz, and ballet.

What is your favorite food:  Tacos!

What are your goals for 2026:  I hope to keep improving and add showing in Showmanship at Halter and Hunt Seat Equitation

Anything else about Macie:  I have three dogs and an 8 year old sister Harper and especially loves spending time with her weiner dog, Hank!
