The Illinois Quarter Horse Youth Association (ILQHYA) is proud to announce that our very own President, June Drinkall, has been elected to serve as the 2025-2026 National Snaffle Bit Youth Association (NSBYA) Youth President. June becomes only the second ILQHYA member in history to hold this prestigious national leadership position—an incredible accomplishment that reflects her dedication and passion for youth equine programs.
June’s leadership extends far beyond titles. She has been a committed member of the ILQHA board for eight years and has served on the NSBYA board for the past four, gaining respect for her energy, vision, and service-minded leadership.
For her term as NSBYA President, June is launching a national service project titled “Back the Brave.” This initiative will focus on honoring and supporting first responders—those who serve our communities with courage and selflessness every day.
A junior at Newman Central Catholic High School, June balances her leadership roles with a rigorous academic schedule and is planning a future in the medical field. Her ambition and heart for service continue to inspire both her peers and adult mentors within the equine community.
We are incredibly proud of June and excited to see the impact she will make at the national level. Her journey is a testament to the power of youth leadership and the lasting influence of organizations like ILQHYA and NSBYA.
