I started riding as soon as I could sit up. My family would go trail riding a few times a year and the older I got the more often we would go. I started 4-H at 8 years old and showed open and fun shows until I was about 20 years old. I did everything from western, HUS, jumping and speed events all on the same horse. In 2004 I bought my first AQHA show horse named Bubba. I had to learn how to ride differently and use my legs. I have been showing AQHA and NSBA ever since.

The horse community is talented and hard working. I grew up on a farm, so work was not an issue. I enjoy seeing the young horses grow up, learn and then teach other people how to ride and do different classes.

I plan to continue to show. I really like the trail class but maybe someday I will venture out into the western riding or ranch.

Something you may not know about me is my family has a small farm, and we raise cows.  (I like the horses better)

My biggest mentors are my trainers. They really work hard and push me to ride better. I like the young horses, so it is hard for me to work on myself as far as posture and style in the arena. I do like to watch the amateurs that I compete against to learn from them. If you are having an issue or question, there is always someone that is willing to help.

In my free time, I love spending time with my nephew. He comes to the farm and helps with the maintaining of the fence, feeding, unloading of grain.  He has taken over my easy jobs like driving equipment, but he also does the heavy lifting.

My next venture is to just keep showing and improving on myself. On my bucket list, I would love to show at the WEC in Ocala.
