The purpose of ILQHA shall be to promote the American Quarter Horse in the State of Illinois. To achieve this purpose ILQHA shall promote interest in riding, breeding, raising, training, exhibiting and racing the American Quarter Horse and organize, promote and sanction events and activities for Quarter Horses and their owners.


Illinois Youth Team to compete at the All American Quarter Horse Congress

IThe National Youth Activity Team Tournament (NYATT) will be held at the Congress on Sunday, October 16th, 2022. It brings together many youth from state and regional Quarter Horse associations across the U.S. and Canada. Teams consist of one to fourteen members sponsored by the state Quarter Horse Association.

We are proud to announce that Jennifer Drinkall has been voted the MVP of the Illinois Quarter Horse Association. The criteria for selection was based on involvement and support of the state affiliate, recognition by peers as a fair and upstanding business person upholding ethical standards of AQHA Professional Horsemen and an individual who has worked towards the future of the industry by being positive and innovative in business endeavors. The vote was open to all ILQHA members and the nominees were those ILQHA members that are also members of the AQHA Pro Horseman.
