Meet our spunky, smart second grader Annabel! Annabel is serving as one of our 2022 ILQHYA directors. She is the daughter of Zach and Jill Steffens; she has one older sister Kendall. In February 2020 she began horseback riding. This past year she started a new partnership with her horse Good Girl Gone Lazy, also know as “Stella”. Stella and Annabel are best friends. They are both 8 years old and love competing at the national level AQHA shows. Annabel says that Stella’s preferred treats are minty muffins and their favorite class to compete in is horsemanship. Their goal for 2022 is to improve their equitation skills and learn her diagonals. Annabel’s talents extend beyond riding, she also dances and is interested in art. Annabel enjoys her school and her favorite classes to participate in are art and P.E. Annabel enjoys rocking out to Taylor Swift, one of her favorite songs is “wildest dream”. Watch out for this talented team in 2022.
