Recreational Riding Program Announces
High Point Riding Hours Winners
The IQHA Horseback Riding Hours Program supports the special bond between horse and rider by encouraging hours in the saddle. Each year participants enroll in the program and then log and report the hours ridden in non-show activities such as trail riding, arena training, etc. The Association recognizes those with the highest number of reported hours at its Annual Banquet and Awards Celebration.

winners were:
Alexandrea Albright, Homer Glen, IL topped this year's winners in both divisions with a whopping 757.50 hours ridden on her horses, Wrangler's Shaw, Lopin In Time, and I'm Blazing Black. She earned the coveted All-Around High Point Champion award. Alexandrea also won the Youth High Point Award in the Quarter Horse Division and Youth High Point Award in the All Breed Division.

2008
winners include:
Tanya Wheeler, Ransom, IL was Reserve Youth High Point, Quarter Horse Division, riding 223 hours on Coosanova's Diva. Tanya also won Reserve Youth High Point in the All Breed Division riding 28 hours on Cadbury.
Michelle Bradley, Midlothian, IL rode Zan's Chocolate Angel for 301.50 hours to win the Adult High Point in the Quarter Horse Division.
Debra Loftus, West Frankfort, IL rode Remarkably Good for 249 hours for the Reserve High Point title in the Quarter Horse Division.
Krissy Gregory, Murphysboro, IL rode Tequila for 524.50 hours to will the Adult High Point in the All Breed Division. This is Krissy's second year as a high point champion.
Bruce Wachowski, Oswego, IL and his horse Gambler earned the Reserve Adult High Point award in the All Breed Division with 154.50 hours.

winners were:
Krissy Gregory, Murphysboro, IL topped our winners' list with 575 hours on “Tequilla.” She earned the All-around High Point Champion award. Krissy also won the All Breed Division High Point on "Tequilla."
Marilyn Reed, Cave-In-Rock, IL rode "Zipper" for 285 hours to win the Adult High Point in the Quarter Horse Division.
Heidi Coop, Oswego, IL rode "Cat" 282 hours to win the Reserve High Point title in the Quarter Horse Division.
Elizabeth Hicks and Thomas Hicks, Metropolis, IL shared the Youth High Point award with 168 hours each. Elizabeth rode "Chico" while Thomas rode "Rusty
